But that is not all. Players will soon be able to arm themselves with the Firefight Pack, a new Single Player Weapon Pack available for download August 7. Available on PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Cost is $2 or 160 Microsoft points. The Firefight Pack will feature two powerful new weapons and five bonus weapons to use in the fight to Take Back Earth!

Deadpool To Get His Own Game?

In advance of the Marvel Games panel at 1:45 PM (PST) today, a new site has popped up. Well, it’s not so much of a site as it is a placeholder. Could this be the announcement we’ve been hearing about? If so, expect plenty of comedy and broken fourth walls.

According to a WhoIs search, the site is registered by MarkMonitor, a company that helps protect brands and eliminate “confusing and potententially fraudulent” uses of trademarked names. It’s not inconceivable that after the Modern Warfare 3 domain fight that Activision engaged in last year that they would commission services to prevent it from happening again. This also provides the opportunity to discreetly register domains without them being easily traceable. Of course, the Activision and High Moon Studios logos at the bottom aren’t exactly hiding.

The Next Batman Game Will Be A Prequel To Arkham Asylum?

BATMAN... nuff said.

So... a prequel? 

Yeah I know right...

But anyway, The next Batman game is rumored to be a prequel that centers around Batman's first encounter with the Joker, kinda like the comic the killing joke (See the comic duh and Google). But if this is to be Batmans fist encounter with the Joker, we will get to see the fateful encounter that occurred to create the Joker, as in Batman lore, the Joker was once the Red Hood... Again Google it...

According to Variety, the prequel to Rocksteady's Arkham Asylum and Arkham City will be based on the Silver Age of DC's comics from the 1950s. Variety says the game will be out in 2014 "at the earliest."

 

 

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Confirmed for 2013

A few days ago we reported on a rumor in Shonen Jump Magazine which suggested that Namco Bandai was hard at work on a new Naruto Shippuden game.

Those rumors have proven true with the release of the issue, confirming that Namco Bandai is working on Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 3. The game is set for a 2013 release in Japan.
Storm 3 will cover the story arch currently being told in both the manga and anime. It also sees the return of boss battles.

Aside from Naruto and his friends, characters which have been confirmed to appear in Storm 3 include Third Hokage, Minato (4th Hokage), Tobi/Madara, and Nine Tailed Fox.
The game will be released on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. No word on when it'll see release stateside, but given the success of the previous titles, it won't be too long.
